Yellow Flowers
Just thought that I would post this quick card that I made. I used Stampin Up Bashful Blue cardstock for the base of this card. The card mat is American Crafts "amplified" and the stripes are dry embossed (The paper was already embossed when I purchased it.) Then I punched one edge with my scalloped punch. The flowers and leaves are colored with copic markers (Y15 Cadmium yellow, Y17 Golden Yellow, G24 Willow and G21 Lime Green--center of flowers are colored with E13 Light Suntan and E17 Reddish Brass.) I paper pieced the flower centers and after I assembled the card I applied Glossy Accents to the flower centers. The paper that I stamped the flowers on is Solar White Paper that I ordered from the Ellen Hutson Web Site. The Stamps used are Hero Arts: Artistic Borders CL322 and Big and Small flowers CL374. The leaves are from the Artistic Borders set.

Flower Blossoms
For this card, I stamped my image onto a light colored cardstock with black memento ink. I colored in the image with copic markers. After coloring with copic markers, I went over the image with a white crayon. Then I cut out the image using one of the curved rectangles by Spellbinders Nestabilities. To make the border around the image, I kept the rectangle die on the cardstock and went over the cardstock with Broken China Ink with a destressing tool. When the rectangle die was removed a white border was left. The crayon on the flowers resisted the broken china ink that I applied to the background. In order for the different size die cuts to fit, I made the base card 4 1/4" x 6 1/4".

Flowers: Just Saying Hello
I didn't think that I would have any time to enter any cards in the Hero Arts current challenge, but I managed to set some time aside last night and came up with this card. (I was thinking of just sitting out on this challenge, but I am glad that I didn't.) So, here is the card that I came up with:
Watching Kristina Werner Finally Friday video this past Friday inspired me to make this card. To see her card go here. I wanted to make something that was quick and simple and also have something that would say that I am glad to be back in the stamping world and that I am saying hello to all my fellow stampers. The stamps that I used are Hero Arts Truly Appreciated CL380 and Flower Wallpaper CG123. I hope that the "Just Saying Hello" sentiment qualifies for the theme of keeping in touch.
Thanks for dropping by and I do appreciate all the comments. Take care and have a wonderful Sunday.
