This is my version for the Mojo Monday (week 138) challenge. I stamped the background matt (blue) and the brown strips of paper in versa mark ink with the Design block Tree stamp (S5037). This is how I did the section with the fern leaf. I stamped the fern with the woodgrain stamp in clear ink. I let it dry and then rubbed antique linen distress ink over it. Next I used my distressing tool and went over the piece of paper in weathered wood distress ink and heated it with the heat gun so that it would dry faster. Then I stamped the leaf image, but before I actually stamped it unto the paper I stamped off some of the ink on scratch paper. Then I went over it again with antique linen ink and the last thing that I did to this image is to stamp over the whole piece with the grid pattern stamp (S5216). I also stamped off before I stamped it on the piece and use van dyke brown ink by ranger. For the woodgrain portion of the card, I stamped with the woodgrain stamp using clear versa mark ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. When that cooled down, I distressed over it with weathered wood distressing ink. After completion of this, all I had to do was put the card together. This is a fathers day card for one of my son's-in-law and the sentiment "Happy Father's Day" was stamped on the inside of the card with Hero Arts Stamp C140. (All the stamps used are Hero Arts)
