Priceless

Yesterday (Saturday, May 1) was National Scrapbooking day and Hero Arts was hosting a scrapbooking challenge over on their Flickr group. All that was required was to make and submit as many scrapbook pages as desired to the Hero Arts Flickr group pool. The challenge was from Saturday, May 1 to Sunday May 2 (actually ends on Sunday, May 2 11:59 pm PST).
I wanted to make at least 5 layouts, but that didn't happen. So, instead I finished and submitted one layout to the Hero Arts Flickr group. Oh well, one was better than nothing. It actually took me longer than planned to make this layout of Alex. It took me at least 3 to 4 hours just to plan out how I wanted it to look. After I had everything planned out, I had to set everything aside and get back to it later. I finally got back to my layout this afternoon and finished putting everything together earlier this evening. It was fun planning and assembling everything and it gave me a sense of accomplishment. I had at least 12 pictures of Alex printed out and this was a good opportunity to use some of those pictures in this layout. I picked frogs (the frog stamp set from hero arts -- Flower Frog F5294) for the embellishments because my daughter Michelle (Alex's Mom) has a few frog outfits for him and therefore Frogs are a perfect embellishment for this page.

The first prize is a selection of Cling Stamps.

The Second prize is a selection of woodblock stamps.
