Sew What's New

I made this Greeting card set for my friend's birthday. My friend loves to sew and I thought that I would make her some cards using my Hero Arts Sewing stamps. My goal was to enter this in the Hero Arts Challenge that ended on August 26, 2010, but I did not have the chance to enter because I did not finish on time. (I kept getting one interruption after another.) That's OK, I figure that I can't always get things done when I want to and that sometimes things don't always happen the way you want them to. The cards were easy to make, but my problem is that i always seem to have difficulties with the clean and simple cards and I have a hard time making up my mind on the type and color paper to use. I spent too much time deciding on the paper and color and ended up changing my mind several times.

This set is an inspiration from Jennifer McGuire. I truly love her work and her creativity is awesome. To see the card and video that these cards are modeled after, please go here.

Stationery Box: Stamps used are Hero Arts; Sew Artsy CL446 and Stitch N Time CG183.

This stationery set has 12 cards (only 6 are shown here). The stamps used for the cards are Hero Arts. Sew Artsy CL446, Simple handmade 4x6 CL429, Kiss From the Sun CL439 (dress), Write Your Own CG113, and Grid Pattern S5216.

I did have lots of fun working on this and I am please with how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and comments are always appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend.
