I made this card for my friend who is having a birthday this month. She loves to sew and I thought that the pin cushion and thread would be perfect for the front of the card. I stamped individual squares so that the front of the card would look like a quilt. I tried to use fall colors because of my friends’ birthday being in September and also because of this months theme for the Hero Arts Challenge. I did not have any room for the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on the front so I stamped the setiment inside.
I cut out six 1 1/2-inch squares of confetti white cardstock (stampin up) and stamped 3 squares with the pin cushion stamp and 3 squares with the thread stamp. I masked each image and then destressed around each image withd estress ink and stamped over each image with a background stamp. After I finished the stamping and destressing, I colored each image with copic markers.
The following copic markers were used to color in the pin cushions and the thread: Light Prawn R22, Garnet R39, Salmon Red Ro5, Sky Blue B24, Golden Yellow Y17, Salad YG05, and Powder Blue B41.
Stamps used: Hero Arts Sew Artsy CL446, Large Plaid Pattern S5447, Grid Pattern S5216, and Textures and Patterns LL635--I think that LL635 is a discontinued product.
Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate the comments. Have a wonderful Sunday!!
